Write...for the Future

Building on the foundation of Write from the Beginning...and Beyond, Write...for the Future is a comprehensive, teacher friendly, secondary writing program designed to assist teachers in the preparation of students for multiple writing tasks, including state assessments.

Using the Thinking Maps Common Visual Language and other strategies, teachers become familiar with instructional techniques and rubric scoring of varied writing modes. Instruction is specifically geared to individual state standards.

Implementation:

The Write...for the Future professional development model varies depending upon the needs of your school or district. Training in the Thinking Maps Common Visual Language is required prior to implementation of Write...for the Future.

Write...for the Future Training Manual

This manual is the training resource for teachers in grades 6-12. Organized by domains of writing, it utilizes Thinking Maps to give both students and teachers the knowledge and skills necessary for age appropriate writing instruction and achievement.
